Colour blocking, animal print, neon colours... Trends are there to be used if YOU LIKE THEM and if you know how to play with them. I do like some of the trends, but it doesn't mean that I have to wear them. I created a perfect look for me today:
Clutch and leather pants are trendy and I think I can wear them forever. Silver and neutral colours will always be my favorites!
I hope everyone had a great holiday (if you are from the UK) or a great weekend. Different from thousands of people, I left Notting Hill on Saturday early so I missed the Carnival and I had 3 relaxing days in the countryside...
Last week I went to Narciss to check out their new collection. It was a lovely evening and the collection is very special.
Above are my favorite garments!
In the Narciss shop, you can find a beautiful line of jewellery made by Zina S.
Everything is hand made! Zina is a Classical Musician and she gets most of her inspiration from music and history. Every single piece from her brand has a story behind it. Find out more about her on http://zinas-sparling.com.
I guess everyone had or at least heard about the KIMONOS. It was big this Summer and I saw a few for Fall collections as well.
As you can see, I was wearing only a tank top + jeans and I added the Kimono as my key piece. It gives a special touch to an outfit, taking the "basic" outfit to a stylish outfit.
Zoe Saldana was wearing yesterday a superb dress from Balmain (one day, Pierina... one day).
When I first saw the pictures, I loved it all. The colours of the dress worked amazingly well on her, and I'm not sure if I would rather wear the dress with the train or without it (like the original version), I just love both! After a while, I wasn't very sure about the shoes...
I love when people try something different/ new! I guess people will love or hate her look. I'm on the LOVE side!
As I said on the previous post, I was very nervous about a presentation. Yesterday, after the BOOHOO.com press day, I went to Imperial College to give a speech about Image and Styling to the students. It went very well and everyone liked it! In the end, I was just so happy! I thought I couldn't really handle on it and I was very nervous, as I said before, but now I feel proud of myself and I want more and more challenges to improve myself. After the presentation, I went to a BBQ with the students and it was very nice (yummyyy).
I will show you my outfit now. I wanted to wear something appropriate but not too serious- I never feel comfortable wearing a very serious outfit, it doesn't suit my personality really...
Diesel Jeans/ Miss Selfridge Blazer/ DKNY bag/ The shoes I got from a second hand shop in Notting Hill ages ago.
I'm very sorry for not posting in the last few days. I was very busy and totally focused on an important presentation that I will tell you about in the next post.
Yesterday I had the great opportunity to visit the BOOHOO press day in London.
The new collection is GREAT! You will be able to find on their website the coolest trends: 60's, 70's, a huge variety in workwear, relaxed tailoring, party dresses and vintage inspired.
My favorite garments are:
I MUST have the blouse and the maxi skirt! I really liked ( LOVED) them! And of course, I had to ask them about the price and I was very surprised. The fabrics and cuts were good, so I was expecting much more than what it really costs.
I had a lovely morning! Everyone that I met was very helpful and friendly- Awesome team!
Thank you very much to BOOHOO.com, Slam PR and Tamar.
